Yemeni vice president meets US ambassador

Riyadh, Dhu-Al-Hijjah 07, 1438 H., August 29, 2017, SPA -- Yemeni Vice President Ali Mohsen Saleh met on Tuesday with US Ambassador to Yemen Matthew Tueller to discuss a number of issues and the latest developments in the national arena and efforts to achieve peace.
During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them and develop them in various fields, including counter-terrorism.
The Yemeni Vice President highlighted the efforts being exerted in the face of the coup masterminds and its catastrophic consequences, to eliminate extremism and terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, and to build a federal state that protects the Yemeni people and contributes to the protection of international peace and security.
For his part, the US ambassador reiterated his country's firm stance in support of the legitimacy in Yemen and keenness on the security and stability of Yemenis.
