Qatar- Academic orientation session for new faculty at QU

Qatar University (QU) Human Resources (HR) Department held on August 27-28 the academic orientation session for new faculty, in which 68 incoming faculty were provided with the necessary information about QU and the university community and services, and discussed faculty-related issues.
The programme agenda featured three presentations titled 'QU in brief, 'Student Affairs Services, 'Information Technology Services, and 'Hokoomi Services.
They were delivered respectively by QU Recruitment Section Head Afrah Al Athba, QU Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs Consultant Wadad El Housseini and Government Portal Department Manager Tareq Al Emadi.
An interactive lunch for the new arrivals was followed by a bus tour of QU campus.
Director of Human Resources Department Mohammed Al Saadi welcomed the new faculty, saying: 'Having you coming from different parts of the world with different experience, different exposure is the value added which we would like to see at Qatar University and we would like you to contribute with all that you can to the University's growth.
'Qatar University is a community of diverse individuals from many parts of the world, and we believe that this make-up adds richness and depth not only to the academic community, but to the broader society as well.
Mohammed Al Saadi added: 'This will be your second home in the coming years, and we hope it will be an inspiring environment that boosts your capabilities, knowledge, and potential.
