(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The world famous Royal Air Force Red Arrows will tour Oman and the Middle East in September, Sir Michael Fallon, UK's Secretary of State for Defence announced on Monday.
It was revealed that the Red Arrows will perform in the country as part of a wider regional tour, with a programme that will promote the United Kingdom's long-standing relations across the Gulf region.
The aerobatic shows are expected to be held in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
The tour will highlight the partnership with the British Armed Forces in each nation visited, as well as demonstrating that the UK is 'open for business', committed to peace and security, and a leading player on the global stage, the UK government stated.
It further said that the Red Arrows tour will allow for further close cooperation with regional armed forces and promote opportunities for investment and trade with the UK and encourage government-to-government engagement to develop economic partnership.
The last time Red Arrows performed in Muscat was on November 20, 2016.
The flying squadron enthralled spectators with an amazing air show on the Qurm beach.
