Jordan- Extremist settlers storm Joseph Tomb in Nablus


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ramallah, August 29 (Petra)- Hundreds of extremist settlers Tuesday stormed what they claim to be "Joseph Tomb" east of Nablus city north of the West Bank, to perform their Talmudic rituals, a Palestinian official said.

The Palestinian official in charge of the settlement file in the northern part of the West Bank, Ghassan Douglas, said in a statement that a large number of Israeli military vehicles stormed the eastern part of the city in order to protect the settlers.

Meanwhile, clashes broke out in Amman Street and at the northern entrance of Balata refugee camp between Israeli forces and Palestinian youths, who threw stones at Israeli soldiers.

The occupation soldiers fired tear gas canisters, live and metal bullets on the youths and arrested on of them.
