Flydubai reports USD38.7mln net loss in H1


(MENAFN) Emirati flydubai had reported its H1 results, indicating a loss of USD38.7mln (DH 142.5mln) for the first six months of the year, although revenues and passengers numbers are showing increases.

The low-cost carrier reported loss of USD24.2mln (DH89.9mln) during H1, while revenue grew to USD680.4mln (Dh2.5bln), higher by 9.9% comparing to the same period of previous year.

However, passengers' numbers are increasing to 5.4 million passengers, higher than previous year by 10.5%, and the number of passengers' carrier per departure rose 13.7%.

Overall, flydubai is contributing in the total growth at Dubai Airports by 19.4% comparing to H1 of 2016.
