Qatar- Medical Commission reduces waiting time for visitors

The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) succeeded in reducing the waiting time of the visitors in the Department of Medical Commission from 23 minutes to 18 minutes. The results showed that the satisfaction rate of visitors increased from 67.2 percent in 2016 to 84.2 percent in the first half of 2017, during which the Commission received about 400,000 visitors, compared to about 770,000 visitors in 2016.

Dr Ibrahim Al Shaer, Director of the Commission, said, 'The Medical Commission has also developed the techniques used by introducing the latest equipment, updating medical regulations and procedures. The second phase of the health information technology system was implemented, during which X-Rays were electronically linked from health care centres with Medical Commission, in addition to the promotion and continuous improvement of information technology and health information systems.

He said the Commission operates according to the best international standards and is considered the first line of defence in the state health security system. It works to prevent the entry of infectious diseases and epidemics in light of the great need for manpower and competent expertise from around the world to meet the needs of the great economic and urban development witnessed by Qatar.
