Kuwait- Cargo vessel splits in half off Istanbul coast
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, Aug 27 (KUNA) -- A Mongolian-flagged dry cargo vessel split in half off the coast of the Istanbul district of Sariyer, security sources said Sunday.
The 114-meter freighter, named "Leonardo", was heading for repairs before splitting in half, the sources were quoted by Anadolu news agency as saying.
Coast Guard teams rescued eleven crew of the dry cargo vessel, the sources added. (end) ta.mt
