MENA's M&A deals record 23pct decline in H1


(MENAFN) In the Jan-June period of the year, MENA M&A activity viewed 192 deals, a decline of 23 percent compared with 250 deals in the same period of 2016.

Moreover, announced MENA deal value also fell by 17 percent to USD31.9bn in the cited period of the year, down from USD38.9bn in the same period of 2016.

In addition, outbound deals reached the highest deal value at a total of USD19.6bn from 61 contracts.

Meanwhile, the Dubai Aerospace Enterprise acquisition of AWAS Aviation Capital Limited for USD7.5bn was the largest deal announced amid H1, 2017.
