Total deposits in Egypt's banks in local market grow by EGP55bn


(MENAFN) Whole deposits in banks working in the regional market, excluding the Central Bank of Egypt, have grown by EGP55bn in the end of May this year to reach EGP2.973tr compared to April at EGP2.918tr.

Moreover, the CBE emphasized in a report that total government deposits reached EGP511.1bn involving EGP315.4bn deposits in the regional currency.

Currently, the CBE exposed a growth in the whole balances of loans offered from banks to clients in April with an increase of EGP39bn.

The whole amounts of loans offered to the government reached EGP335.8bn, involving EGP143.1bn in local currency and EGP192.6bn in foreign currencies.
