Amman mayor receives EBRD delegation

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Aug. 27 (Petra) -- Amman Mayor, Yousef Shawarbeh, Sunday discussed with a European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) team the ongoing cooperation between the two sides, including EBRD-financed projects in the fields of renewable energy, environment and transport.

At the meeting, Shawarbeh lauded the EBRD's outstanding efforts and technical and financial support extended to the Amman Municipality. He praised the existing partnership between the two sides, pointing out the need for enhanced cooperation in various fields in order to achieve sustainable development.

The delegation also met with the Director of Amman City at the Greater Amman Municipality, who expressed readiness to expand the scopes of joint cooperation with EBRD to carry out ventures and programs that would help to upgrade the level of services to the public.
