Hamad Port official opening set for early Sep


(MENAFN) Hamad Port will be officially opened in the first week of Sep, showing a paradigm move in Qatar's economic diversification and competitiveness.

Moreover, the largest port in the Mideast will be open in the Umm Al Houl area, which conforms to Qatar's attempt at economic diversification.

Additionally, spread over 28.5 square kilometers, the Port's basin is 4km long, 700 meters wide and 17 meters deep-specifications that enable it to receive the globe's biggest ships.

It involves a uniquely made port Control Tower at a height of 110 meters, a customs inspection area for fast cargo clearance, a ship inspection platform and other facilities.
