Abu Dhabi checks hygiene of salons ahead of Eid Al Adha
The teams spread health awareness among salon employees and stressed the importance of abiding by hygiene rules and regulations for public safety.
The campaigns will continue at Al Shamkha, Al Mafraq, Al Wathba, Al Shawamekh and Baniyas areas as part of efforts and plans for Eid Al Adha."The municipality will work continuously to protect the health and safety of community members. It obliges salons of all types to adhere to all health stipulations ... The municipality will not tolerate offenders," said the civic body in a statement.
Through the visits, the inspection teams noticed "growing compliance on the part of hairdressing salons and beauty parlours with the required health stipulations". It resulted in only two warnings.
"The number of offences has remarkably reduced in matters relating to the use of illegal materials constituting health hazards. A small quantity of black and white henna has been seized. The results illustrated the growing awareness and compliance with the public health stipulations among the staff of those outlets," the municipality added. "This is a result of the success of the continuous educative campaigns held by the municipality."The inspection campaigns will continue during Eid.
