Saudi applies huge projects to serve Haj pilgrims
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia has installed huge projects in order to serve the Two Holy Mosques as part of its approach trailed by the leadership of the kingdom.
Meanwhile, the first expansion was applied amid the period of King Abdul Aziz, which included the annexation of Masa's to the Grand Mosque.
In addition, the second expansion of the mosque was carried out amid the period of King Fahd, while the roof and the surrounding areas of the mosque were organized for worshippers.
However, with the development of ways of transportation and the growth in the number of worshippers, the Makkah Grand Mosque needed necessary expansion.
