(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Waljat College of Applied Sciences (WCAS) Health and Safety Committee recently organised a workshop cum guest lecture on '7 Billion Acts of Goodness', Chain Reaction of Goodness and Happiness - A Global Campaign' for staff members.
Around 17 staff members participated in the event. The resource persons for the workshop were the representatives from Raja Yoga Centre For Self Development, Ruwi.
They spoke about how you can keep yourself stress free with positive awareness, attitude and activity as well as handle stress in your day to day life by keeping positivity in thoughts. They also reiterated that health should be given top most priority than any other thing by keeping a positive attitude and not holding any resentments, stress, anxiety, etc.
The event ended with a musical game and a feeling of positivity. Staff members shared their experiences about acts of goodness. A short video was also screened for all staff members.
The aim of this workshop was 'An Invite To Pledge'. The staff members have taken a pledge to perform at least three good acts every day for a month to experience the change.
Some ways of performing acts of goodness are as follows: Forgiveness, love, cooperation, mercy, sharing happiness, spreading peace and harmony, benevolence towards nature, spreading cheerfulness, stopping waste thoughts, helping those with special needs towards self, family/friends, co-workers, community, school/college/university, mother nature and holy places.
The workshop was organised to utilise the semester break and to rejuvenate the staff members to get ready for the upcoming semester by acts of goodness. The session was very interactive and participants thanked the resource person. Arbind Kumar Choudhry, in-charge, Health and Safety Committee, presented a memento to the resource persons.
