Qatar Amir, Palestinian leader discuss Mideast crisis


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DOHA, Aug 25 (KUNA) -- Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani discussed Palestinian state of affairs with President Mahmoud Abbas on Friday.

The two sides, in a phone conversation, addressed international efforts aimed at finding a permanent, just, and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian crisis, Qatari news agency (QNA) reported.

They also discussed Qatari aid to the Palestinian people, particularly reconstruction projects in the Gaza Strip, and exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

For his part, Abbas informed Sheikh Tamim on the outcomes of his recent meetings with the US president's Senior Advisor Jared Kushner, and efforts to resume the peace process in the Middle East. (end) nnd.sam.ma
