Kuwait's crude oil exports to China unchanged at 321,000 bpd


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TOKYO, Aug 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's crude oil exports to China in the first seven months of this year remain unchanged from the same period of 2016 at 321,000 barrels per day (bpd), government data showed.

In July alone, Kuwait exported 303,000 bpd to the Asian country, down 19.7 percent on the year, according to the General Administration of Customs. Kuwaiti shipments of crude oil to China exceeded the 300,000 bpd level for the fifth consecutive month, it said.

China's overall imports of crude oil in July grew 11.8 percent from a year earlier to 8.22 million bpd. Russia remained China's top supplier, with its shipments surging 54.1 percent on the year to 1.18 million bpd, followed by Saudi Arabia with 944,000 bpd, down 0.08 percent. Angola became third, but imports from the country plunged 17.1 percent to 926,000 bpd. Iraq ranked fourth and Iran fifth, respectively. (end) mk.gta
