'Juste Pour Rire' Agadir Comedy Festival Kicks Off


(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Rabat – The first annual Juste Pour Rire Agadir kicked off August 23, with more than 30 artists from six countries participating in the festival.

The festival, which runs until Saturday, August 26, brings together Moroccan, Tunisian, Belgian, Ivorian, French, and Algerian artists for performances on the stages of Agadir.

Comedy in the Arabic, French, and Amazigh languages was represented in four "galas."

Moroccan comedian Eko, the Algerian Abdelkader Sector, and the Tunisian Lofti Abdelli were on stage on stage for the first gala, 'Les voisins'.

On Thursday, August 24, comedians from France, Belgium and Côte d'Ivoire took over the stage. Waly Dia, D'Jal, Booder, Younes & Bambi, Oualas, Samia Orosemane, Amine Radi, Anas de Nazareth and Nounours have invited the public to attend their gala, 'The Guests'.

On Friday, the theater La Verdure will be exclusively occupied by Moroccan artists, namely Haytam Miftah, Rachid Rafik, Bassou, Yassar, Taliss, Zouhair Zair, Elmehdi Chehab, Les Inqualifiables, Usama Ramzi, and Saif Eddine Settif, to perform 'The Family' gala.

To close, the fourth gala, 'Aït Tgammi', will bring together artists from the Agadir region. In addition to the humorists Rachid Aslal, Lahcen Chawchaw, Mustapha Sghir, Aberrahim Agezzoum, Anas Machati Abdellah Bougarn and Abdellah Tamnt, this evening will see a performance by the band Ribab Fusion.

The festival is organized by the Juste Pour Rire association, in partnership with the Municipal Council and the Regional Council and Agadir Souss Massa Tourism Council.
