Abbas hails Qatar's stance in support of Palestinian cause
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held a telephone conversation yesterday evening with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the latest developments on the Palestinian arena.
President Abbas briefed the Emir on the results of his meetings with the US delegation headed by President Trump's senior adviser Jared Kushner, and the efforts exerted to resume the peace process.
Discussions during the phone call also dealt with international efforts aimed at finding a lasting, just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian question.
The Palestinian President expressed his appreciation to His Highness the Emir for the State of Qatar's firm stance in support of the Palestinian cause.
The two sides also discussed the assistance provided by Qatar to the Palestinian people, especially the reconstruction projects in the Gaza Strip, and exchanged of views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
