Saudi Arabia to boost renewable energy target


(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia plans to increase its aim to produce 9.5GW of elect from renewable energy in order to highlight its long-term commitment to green energy.

Accordingly, the whole idea of this is to give investors a sense of comfort that the country has a long-term vision for renewable energy.

Furthermore, the government proclaimed its plans to generate 9.5GW of elect from renewable sources a year by 2023 amid 60 projects.

The energy ministry declined to give more details on when the government predicts to increase the target or other details.
