VietJet Air to go for massive network expansion


(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Ho Chi Minh City : VietJet Air, largest private airline of Vietnam is planning for expanding operations to China, Australia and Russia. The Airline accordingly has ordered over 200 aircraft of Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 families worth over $20 billion.

According to experts network expansion plan will not be an easy job for the Airline due to harsh competition . But the Chief executive, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao dismisses the concerns bringing the example of China, where local airlines have flourished since the aviation regulator in 2013 relaxed a six-year suspension on new airline licence .

VieJet was launced in 2011 and turned to be the biggest private airline of the country in just five years . The Airline drew huge public and media attention with their bikini-clad flight attendants . The Airline presently has a fleet of 40 aircraft.
