Jordan- GAM: Traffic, Transportation Development First Priority

AMMAN —AlGhad— The Secretary General of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh, stated at a press conference today, Thursday, that developing the public transportation system and traffic solutions are on top of the Municipality's priorities.

Soon, Shawarbeh confirmed, solutions and schemes will be submitted to the Municipality Council for review.

The plans will entail comprehensive, fundamental solutions to the traffic jam problems and the transportation sector, Shawarbeh said.

Meanwhile, the automation and digitisation project is progressing, according to the Mayor, as well as number of other projects, including the East Amman development project.

Moreover, he confirmed that the digitisation project will be completed within the next three years.
