Arab League approves Jordan membership in service trade agreement


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Cairo, Aug. 24 (Petra) – The Economic and Social Council of the Arab League has approved Jordan's request to join the Liberalization of Trade in Services among Arab Countries Agreement.

Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef Al Shamali, who chaired the Jordanian delegation, said such agreement would enhance the joint Arab cooperation. He added that the agreement would establish a legal framework to increase the volume of investments and trade exchange among Arab countries.

The agreement was taken during the 100th session of the council, which also discussed a number of issues on its agenda.
