Qatar closes Chadian Embassy, gives diplomats 72 hours to leave
Director of the Information Office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ahmed bin Saeed Al Rumaihi, announced Qatar's decision to close the Embassy of Chad in Doha and to give diplomats and embassy staff 72 hours to leave the country.
The Foreign Ministry has expressed its rejection and condemnation of the reasons contained in the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chad concerning the closure of the Embassy of Qatar in N'Djamena.
Chad said on Wednesday it was giving Qatari diplomats 10 days to leave the country.
Al Rumaihi, voiced Qatar's rejection of the allegations contained in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chad saying that they are baseless.
He explained that the timing of the decision of the Government of Chad closing the Embassy of Qatar in N'Djamena clearly reveals that this decision comes within the campaign of political blackmail against Qatar with the intention of joining the siege countries for very well known reasons.
Meanwhile, Senegal said this week it had returned its ambassador to Qatar after having recalled him three months ago, in a bid to encourage a peaceful resolution to the feud.
