Ctrip commits to support Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs)


(MENAFNEditorial) SHANGHAI, Aug. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Ctrip.com International, Ltd. (Nasdaq: ) announced today that the Company pledged to support Women's Empowerment Principles. Ctrip will implement the seven guiding principles to promote gender equality. Currently female employees represent over 50% of the workforce with balance representation in senior management positions. Ctrip.com will continue to commit to improving the status of women in the workplace.

Ctrip CEO Jane Jie Sun (left) signed the WEPs statement in the presence UN Women China officer Julia Broussard. The Women's Empowerment Principles are the product of collaboration between UN Women and the UN Global Compact in 2010. At present, the world has more than 1,200 CEOs who have signed the "CEO support statement", China has 24 enterprises that have joined the "empowerment to women" ranks.
