(MENAFN- The Conversation) Mr. Brophy teaches and writes in property, trusts and estates, remedies, and legal history at the University of Alabama School of Law in Tuscaloosa. His books include Reconstructing the Dreamland: The Tulsa Riot of 1921, Race, Reparations, Reconciliation (Oxford University Press, 2002), Reparations Pro and Con (Oxford University Press, 2006), Experiencing Trusts and Estates (West Academic 2017, with Deborah Gordon, Norman Stein, and Caryl Yzenbaard), Integrating Spaces: Property Law and Race (Aspen, 2011, with Alberto Lopez and Kali Murray), and A Companion to American Legal History (Wiley-Blackwell 2013, co-edited with Sally Hadden). His expansive study of proslavery thought in the old South, University, Court, and Slave: Proslavery Thought in the Southern Academy and Judiciary and the Coming of Civil War, was published by Oxford University Press in 2016.
