Jeddah, Dhu-AlHijjah 02, 1438, August 24, 2017, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah today the Vice Premier of the State Council of People's Republic of China Zhang Gaoli.
The King welcomed the Chinese Vice Premier who expressed his happiness to visit the Kingdom and meet the King.
The Chinese Vice Premier conveyed the greetings of President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China to the King who sent his greetings to the President.
The King commended during the reception the level of relations between the two friendly countries and the important role of Saudi-Chinese High Level Joint Committee chaired on the Saudi side by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense and on the Chinese side by the Vice Premier of the State Council of People's Republic of China Zhang Gaoli in developing and enhancing bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom and the People's Republic of China.
During the meeting, they reviewed the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in various fields and the latest developments at regional and international arenas.
The meeting was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Minister of State and Cabinet's Member Dr. Musa'ed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban; Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir; Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Engineer Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih; and Saudi Ambassador to the People's Republic of China Turki bin Mohammed Al-Madhi.
The meeting was also attended by the delegation accompanying the Chinese Vice Premier and Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom Li Huaxin.
