Ambrose keen on England's bowling coach role
23 Aug 2017

Curtly Ambrose, the legendary West Indian fast bowler, has expressed his interest in the role of England's bowling coach's position.

Current bowling coach, Ottis Gibson, is set to depart as he will replace Russell Domingo as South Africa's head coach.

With the post set to be vacated, Ambrose has said if he is offered the role, he will take it up.

Gibson is under contract with ECB until the end of 2018, but it is understood that an agreement has been reached between the ECB and the CSA.

This allows Gibson to leave early and England will be left without a bowling coach for the limited-overs matches against West Indies.

It is expected that ECB will appoint an interim bowling coach.
