(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- For the first time in Oman, English Language Education Services Centre (ELES) has successfully introduced and administered the TOEFL Primary Tests and the TOEFL Junior Tests for students between 8 to 11 and 12 to 16 years respectively. To congratulate its students on their success, ELES held a graduation ceremony on August 21 at ELES headquarters in Muscat.
The TOEFL Primary Tests and The TOEFL Junior Tests assess the general English-language proficiency of young students. They provide a snapshot of each student's ability in listening, reading and speaking, and support teaching and learning by giving information about students' abilities in relation to a widely accepted international standard.
ELES has been the Preferred ETS Associate in the Sultanate of Oman and is the sole distributor and test administrator of TOEFL family of assessment including the TOEFL ITP tests which are paper-based. These tests use 100 percent academic content to evaluate the English-language proficiency of nonnative English speakers. They also give institutions confidence about their students' ability in a real-world academic setting.
ELES also distributes and administers the TOEIC test which has been the global standard for measuring workplace English-language communication skills. The TOEIC assessment family, including the TOEIC Listening and Reading test, the TOEIC Speaking and Writing tests and the TOEIC Bridge test. These tests are used by nearly 14,000 businesses, organizations, and government agencies in 150 countries around the world.
ELES also distributes and administers both the WorkFORCE Assessment for Job Fit and WorkFORCE Assessment for Career Development tests designed to measure the key behavioral skills that predict success in the workplace, and Identify and help develop behaviors which employees need most to succeed.
