(MENAFN) Kuwait showed new elect and water rates for the investment sector, proclaiming it will support consumers to rationalize consumption.
In addition, the new rates are almost USD0.016 per kWh of elect and USD6.63 per 1.000 imperial gallons of water.
Furthermore, new tariffs were implemented for the commercial sector in May, while tariffs will increase for the government sector from 2 fils to 25 fils per kWh.
Accordingly, the ministry consumes 350.000 barrels of oil a day to generate power and this number could reach 2mn bpd in 2035.
