Amman, Aug.22 (Petra) -- Amman Chamber of Commerce's First Deputy Chairman (ACC), Ghassan Kharfan, said Jordan is keen on increasing the trade exchange volume with Zambia.

Speaking at a one-day event organized by the ACC in cooperation with the Honorary Consulate of Zambia, to introduce trade, facilities and investment opportunities available in the southern African nation, Kharfan voiced the chamber's readiness to facilitate and provide all information concerning Jordanian traders and business owners interested in investing in Zambia.

The ACC official spoke of Jordan's geographical location, stability and legislation, in terms of attracting foreign investments.

Charge d'affaires of the Zambian Embassy in Ankara, accredited to Jordan, Bwalya Nondo, said his country is interested in promoting trade and investment relations with Jordan in various activities.

The trade exchange volume between the two countries is still below ambitions, as chemical industries, machinery and equipment are Jordan's most important exports to Zambia, while it imports food and various commodities from the southern African nation.
