Jordan- Army Foils Drug Smuggle Attempt Inbound from Syria, Narcotics Confiscated

AMMAN —AlGhad— An informed, ranking military officer with the Jordan Armed Forces — Arab Army Command stated that the North-eastern Border Guard units intercepted a band of 6 attempting to smuggle drugs in from Syria yesterday, Monday.

The rules of engagement were applied, and the smugglers were driven back into Syria.

Military teams searched the area and found 6 bags of narcotics, including pills and Hashish.

Confiscated drugs were referred to the respective authorities for processing.
