Iraq lifts ban from import of poultry products from Ukraine


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Since August 23, 2017, the ban on export of poultry products from Ukraine to Iraq that was introduced in connection with outbreaks of avian influenza in Ukraine has been lifted.

This was reported by the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

"Iraq lifted a temporary ban from the supply of poultry products from Ukraine, which was introduced in connection with cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza in the territory of our state," the report reads.

This decision was recently adopted by the Government of the Republic of Iraq.

The ban on the import of poultry products from Ukraine in connection with outbreaks of avian influenza has not yet been lifted by Hong Kong, Yemen and China.
