Bahrain and Malaysia discuss mutual cooperation

MANAMA, 21st August, 2017 (WAM) -- Bilateral ties across various fields between Bahrain and Malaysia were discussed between the Bahraini Deputy Premier, Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and the Ambassador of Malaysia to Bahrain, Agus Salim bin Yusof.

According to the Bahrain News Agency, BNA, Sheikh Khalid congratulated the recently-appointed Malaysian Ambassador on assuming his duties, wishing him success in further boosting friendship and cooperation ties in all fields.

Sheikh Khalid commended the prominent position of Malaysia as one of the Southeast Asian economic powers, and the successful outcomes of the historic official visit of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Malaysia, last April.

He also stressed the importance of boosting and deepening commercial and investment cooperation between the two countries, BNA added.

The Malaysian Ambassador expressed his keenness on working to achieve the aspirations and visions of both countries' leaderships in the interest of their peoples.

The two sides also discussed various topics and issues of mutual interest.
