Oman- Workshop on food safety to be held at Knowledge Oasis Muscat till Aug 23

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Xeem, an incubated company at the National Business Centre (NBC), has organised a workshop on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) Food Safety Management till August 23. The programme is being held at NBC in Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM).

This workshop comes after the success of the Food Safety Management (ISO 22000) workshop held in the mid of this year by Xeem. Fatma al Riyami, chief executive officer of Xeem, said that companies dealing with food being food producers, manufacturers or caterers need to adopt systems and standards to strongly eliminate food safety hazards.

Taking into account that food safety is one of top priorities for any food industry company, this workshop, therefore, will give an opportunity for participants to build their organisation's confidence and customer confidence.

At the workshop, the participants will learn modern methods of food safety and quality control, known as HACCP. Applying HACCP ensures food production in compliance to international standards through an integrated system to ensure control of all production processes towards safe food, microbiologically, physically and chemically.

'We believe that acquiring effective adoption of international standards and world-class practices shall assist in equipping SMEs in facing emerging challenges through innovative and practical solutions towards creating a healthy and sustainable economy. Hence, such programmes help put committed organisations on track towards excellence and true success,' added Riyami.
