Qatar, U.S. trade narrows down in H1 at USD459.8mn


(MENAFN) Qatar's trade deficit with the U.S. narrowed down amid the first half of the year, which reached QR1.67bn, a fall by USD2.55bn or 84.75 percent.

Meanwhile, Qatar's exports of good to the U.S. amid the period of the year reached QR2.11bn, up 10.4 percent compared to QR1.91bn posted in the second half of 2016.

However, the drop in Qatar's trade deficit with the U.S. is due to the decline in two-way trade volume.

The mutual trade volume in goods amid the first half reached QR5.86bn, a sharp decline of 61.4 percent compared to QR15.22bn.
