Manama, Dhu-Al-Qa'dah, 29, 1438 H., August 21, 2017, SPA -- Yemeni Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Obaid bin Daghar met today in Manama with some ambassadors of the Arab and foreign countries, especially the ambassadors accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain of the 18 sponsor countries of the Gulf initiative.
At the beginning of the meeting, bin Daghar praised the Arab and international stance in support of the legitimacy to restore the looted state and end the coup in accordance with the terms of the Gulf Initiative and its executive mechanism, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Security Council Resolution 2216.
There is an Iranian threat to Arab and regional security, where Iran has trained the militias since 2000, thus threatening the security of the homeland and neighboring countries and imposing their hegemony and control of the international ports and Bab al-Mandab straight, he stressed, citing that it has more than once tried to destabilize the security and stability of international navigation through operations carried out by the Houthi militias.
