Jordan takes part in Arab League anti-terrorism meeting


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Cairo, Aug. 21 (Petra) -- Jordan's Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent representative to the League of Arab States Monday participated in a meeting of senior officials representing Arab ministries of social affairs, justice and youth to discuss drafting a plan to combat the scourge of terrorism in the Arab region.

The two-day meeting will tackle ways of implementing the Arab Counter-terrorism Declaration, which was endorsed during the Arab Summit which was held in Amman in March, said Arab League Assistant Secretary-General for Social Affairs Badreddine Alali.

Task forces will be set up to follow up on the implementation of the proposed plan resulting from the meeting.
