Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh said on Monday that the ongoing India-China standoff would soon be resolved as New Delhi wants "peace, not any confrontation," according to media reports.

Speaking at an Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) event in New Delhi, he said, "There will be a solution to the Doklam issue very soon… I want to tell all the neighbors that India wants peace, not any confrontation. I'm confident that China, on its part, will make a positive move and a resolution will be found."

Referring to the ITBP, which guards the 4,057 km India-China border from Jammu and Kashmir to Arunachal Prades, he added, "We have such brave soldiers… I feel that there is no power in the world which can attack India."

There has been rising tension on the India-China border since the Indian Army stopped Chinese troops from constructing roads in the Doklam area of the Sikkim sector.
