SBI waives processing fees for several retail loans

The SBI has announced a waiver on processing fees for most of its retail loans, including on car loans, gold loans and other personal loans.
The scheme, part of the bank's 'festival bonanza' program, is in addition to the existing fee waiver on takeover of home loans from other creditors.
This comes three weeks after SBI announced a cut in savings bank rate.

Till September 30, customers will be entitled to a 50% waiver on processing of Xpress Credit, a personal loan offering. The deadline to get a 50% waiver on processing of personal gold loans is October 31. The waiver on car loans is valid till December 31.
