Kuwait- Ten US Navy sailors missing after ship collision
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) WASHINGTON, Aug 21 (KUNA) -- Some 10 US Navy service members have been reported missing after their guided-missile destroyer collided with a merchant ship east of Singapore, CNN cited from a Navy statement late Sunday.
"The USS John S. McCain collided with the merchant ship Alnic MC while the destroyer was traveling to a port visit in Singapore," the statement said.
The Navy added that five sailors were injured in the collision and the US ship was damaged to its left side. (end) ak.hb
