5 Taliban killed in Farah clash


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Five Taliban have been killed and six others injured during a clash in the Bakwa district of western Farah province, security personnel claimed on Sunday.

Noor-ul-Haq Khaliqi, spokesman for the Afghan National Army 2nd infantry brigade, told Pajhwok Afghan News the clash took place in the Puza locality last night.

Taliban Commander Mullah Usman was among the dead. Six more rebels injured during the clash, he added.

Two Humvee vehicles and as many Saracha type vehicles belonged to the Taliban were destroyed in the overnight clash.

Taliban spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi said Taliban suffered no harm in the Puza clash.
