China to open new cargo train route between Qinghai, Russia


(MENAFN) A new China-Europe freight train service is planned to start operations on Sunday, connecting between Russia and Golmud in Qaidam Basin, northwest China's Qinghai region.

Moreover, the train, was carrying containers full of chemical, went from China crossed the Alataw Pass in Xinjiang, and is set to go through Kazakhstan before stopping in Perm, Russia.


According to Meng Hai, governor of Haixi Mongol and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai, "The new service can boost the international competitiveness of local goods".
