Oman- Symtech Solar MENA appoints new chief technical officer


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Symtech Solar MENA, a leading Omani solar energy company, announced the appointment of Jonathan Bolton as its new chief technical officer in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Bolton will oversee all technical aspects of the Symtech Solar business in the MENA region and manage the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems up to 5MW, according to a press release issued by the company.

Bolton will report to Ken Paton, CEO of Symtech Solar MENA.

Symtech Solar is an American renewable energy company headquartered in Shanghai, China. The company develops, produces, and delivers the world's most complete and cost-effective photovoltaic solar energy solutions.

With an established and proven track-record and a highly experienced management team, Symtech Solar has created multiple product lines designed for specific solar energy installations and applications, including industry leading photovoltaic kits designed for the domestic, commercial and industrial market sectors.

Commenting on the new appointment, Paton said, 'Bolton brings unparalleled technical and practical expertise to our senior management team. His project management experience includes construction of some of the largest solar power installations in the UK. Bolton has managed the installation, commissioning and monitoring of solar PV systems on domestic properties, commercial properties, and solar farms ranging from 1KW to 50MW. His in-depth technical knowledge of safely connecting solar systems to the grid will be crucial in assisting countries in the region to move to renewable solar energy'.

Bolton said, 'I look forward to the challenges of my new role. The uptake of solar in the MENA region is gaining pace and my experience of installing solar systems from domestic properties to utility scale projects will assist Symtech Solar to become a market leader in the region by focusing upon 1KW to 5MW solar systems.
