Angry fans protested at the Dambulla cricket stadium this evening after Sri Lanka continued its losing streak in cricket.
Riot Police had to be called in after the protest resulted in the Sri Lanka cricket team being unable to leave the stadium after their match against India.
Sri Lanka lost the opening game of the five match One Day International series against India by 9 wickets after losing the just concluded Test series.
Local reporters said that the Sri Lanka team was able to leave the stadium after approximately 20-30 minutes. (Colombo Gazette)
