Expect hot to 'very hot' weather over next two days in UAE


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology, NCMS, said that today's weather is expected to see high to very high temperatures, and partly cloudy and hazy at times.

Light to moderate winds are expected in general, freshening at times and causing blowing dust and sand over exposed areas.

"The relative humidity is likely to increase during the night and early tomorrow morning over some coastal and internal areas, with probability of fog/mist formation, especially northwards. Sea will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea," the statement added.

Winds will be south-easterly to north-easterly, with a speed of 14 to 26 kilometres per hour (km/ph) and be reaching 36 km/ph at times.

The NCMS, has also warned motorists to drive with caution due to dusty winds expected in some exposed areas of the country.

The lowest temperature recorded in the UAE this morning was 24.7 C in the Jais Mountain at 5:00am while the highest temperature recorded on Sunday was 48.3 C in Mezaira at 2.18pm

The statement added that on Sunday and Monday, the conditions are likely to be the same.
