Bank of Japan intends to reduce bond purchases


(MENAFN) The Bank of Japan (BoJ) has lately revealed that it plans to decrease selling of bonds maturing in 5 to 10 years by about 30bn yen at its regular debt-buying operations in the preceding week.

On the other hand, the country's central bank offered to acquire 440bn yen of the securities, compared with 470bn yen at the past process held on August 9.

Never the less, BoJ stated the benchmark 10-year bond yield declined by 1/2 basis point to reach 0.040%, which is considered the lowest since June 7.
