At least 23 killed in India train crash


(MENAFN) Indian police stated that about 23 people lost their lives as well as extra 40 were wounded on Saturday as a passenger train overturned in Uttar Pradesh.

Furthermore, the Indian railways spokesperson reported that 14 trainer of the train derailed in the incident.

The accident occurred in Muzaffarnagar region of Uttar Pradesh, located 100 km away from the country's capital New Delhi.

"Today a train derailed here causing coaches to fall upon one another," according to a statement issued by Uttar Pradesh police.
