East Mexico's pipeline explosion kills 1, hurts 5


(MENAFN) Officials announced that one person passed away and further 5 were seriously injured on Saturday as an illegally tapped oil pipeline blew up in east Mexico's Gulf Coast state of Veracruz.

According to the state's Secretariat of Civil Protection, the explosion happened at around 7:30 a.m. when thieves were attempting to take fuel from the tube.

On the other hand, the officials also announced that 2 women and 3 men were transported to the nearest hospitals.
