(MENAFN) Official figures in UK showed that number of visitors to the country in June increased significantly to 3.5 million, higher than the same period in previous year by 7%.
In details, visitors coming from North America increased by 34%, and overall visitors spend around 2.2bln pounds, an increase by 2%.
This increase had come after a weak pound makes the country more affordable for visitors; following terror attacks hit London and Manchester.
However, the numbers of visitors came from North America reached 650,000 from 483,000 posted last year in June. And it was clearly buoyed by the particularly sharp fall of the pound against the dollar since mid-2016.
