Bahrain Airport receives new power distribution station
(MENAFN) A new 220kV power distribution station at Bahrain Intl Airport was inaugurated by Elect and Water Affairs Minister.
Accordingly, the inauguration of the project comes amid the plan to offer the power needed for the expansion of Bahrain Intl Airport and growing the elect transmission networks.
Meanwhile, the new station, built at a cost of USD45.61mn, will feed the new airport terminal building, which is one of 15 such 220kV facilities.
Furthermore, the supply and installation of the plant was undertaken by Swiss firm ABB, whereas the transformers were supplied by Korean firm HHI.
